Fave anime/manga women #4: Julia Collage

I redrew her several times, this is actually the third complete version I did. I just couldn't get her to turn out right, but finally I got this one. I even drew her foot! I hate drawing hands and feet... I'm forcing myself to do more of it, and this is a step in that chain.

Why She's here: Julia is, more or less, Hiro Mashima's predecessor for Erza Scarlet. She's strong, more outgoing than Erza, but still not someone you would want to cross. While Mashima loves his fan service, to which Julia was no exception, he also knows how to write good female characters. (And to his credit Fairy Tail has a fair bit of fan service for girls too). Anyway, one of the best scenes with Julia was her first battle. We didn't know what to expect, and she was awesome. Especially when, as per usual, the enemy's abilities were getting rid of her clothes. He taunted her, so she rips off her shirt and says that revealing her breasts makes her no less than what she is now. She tells him not to take women as fools, and she makes a point
Julia is also funny, especially when drunk. I'm sad that the anime was cancelled before she could appear as more than a memory. (She also gets a change in appearance between when Let is remembering her and when she comes back). I was happy to see her in the Fairy Tail X Rave OVA, but sad that she didn't cross paths with Erza, especially given that both of them, at some point, end up in a bunny suit making a mess at a casino.
