Fave Anime/Manga women #2: Minako collage

Sailor Venus take 3! I had one done earlier on, but when I looked at it again I wasn't satisfied. So I drew a different pose and spent a lot of time on it, but then my hard drive got corrupted and I lost it. So I did it again, same pose as take 2, but more work went into it. Over the course of this series, I've refined my techniques more and gotten better with the drawing part. So I'm pretty proud of how this came out. I went with her manga colour scheme, because that makes the most sense.

Why she's here: Way back when I first saw the awful english dub, I immediately found that I loved Sailor Venus from the opening. I thought she was pretty. I waited so long for her to actually appear, and I was so happy when she finally did. Then, when I saw the other versions of the series, I loved her even more. Minako has the most interesting back story, she's the most experienced of the inner senshi and yet she also has a fun light side. The first anime took this side of her way too far, which was disappointing. I love the manga and Crystal versions, and the live action. The live action did a completely different take on her, and I loved it. Minako is strong, but still has her weak moments. She takes her duty seriously but still can be easygoing. I really hope they do the other arcs of the manga in Crystal. Minako is also here from nostalgia. Sailor Moon was my first anime obsession, and will likely always been my #1.
